Under Kefa Kisala’s first reign at BUL FC, the team finished among the top five and also made it to the semi finals of the Uganda cup.
The coach makes a return to Jinja but this time meets a different setting altogether; that he has to transform a team that just survived relegation by a point despite the huge budget sunk in the club.
The club has also experienced a mass exodus with about 18 players leaving the club. His first task is to assemble a squad from scratch.
The soft spoken coach believes the mission is possible but calls for patience from all corners.
- The team is not in a good position if you compare with the finances sunk by the main funders, BIDCO. Nevertheless, we shall start from the ground to rebuild the team afresh though it will take some time. So I urge everyone from the sponsors, executive, players and fans to be patient and support the project, he said
Five different coaches have handled the club since Kisala’s departure including his former deputy Mutyaba, Isabirye, Kiwanuka, Anyau and Onen. But none has been at the summit for more than half a season.
-I have returned to BUL FC to guide the club back to its best days. Knowing the club's ambitions, objectives, goals, strengths and DNA will help complement my own. I want to return the club where it belongs, that's top 5 and possibly win ourselves a silver ware.
