Tonny Mawejje moving to Albanian club

Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje has reportedly joined Albania top tier side, FK Tirana FC. 

The club has been working to improve the squad inorder turn around their fortunes and avoid relegation at the end of the season. 

Media in Albania have reported that he has joined the club on a two year contract. 

The club also hosts another Uganda Cranes forward, Yunus Ssentamu and is managed by former Gor Mahia FC coach Ze Maria. Mawejje moves as a free agent after seeing out his contract with Iceland club Thróttur Reykjavík late last year. 

He was earlier linked to a move to Long An FC in the Vietnam Super League.
