Uganda Cup: KCCA, Onduparaka draw lower tier sides in round of 64

Holders KCCA FC will start their Uganda Cup defence against third division side, Mbarara FC in a round of 64 at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

The draws were released on Thursday morning at the FUFA house in Mengo under the supervision of Deputy CEO Humphrey Mandu and Acting Competitions manager Aisha Nalule.

Last year’s finalists, Paidha Black Angels will face fellow Big League side, Simba FC in Entebbe.

All the teams from the top two leagues were drawn together with 22 from the eight Fufa regions. Kampala and Buganda region were allocated four slots each, Eastern and Western have three while Kitara, North East, Nothern and West Nile have two each.

The finals will be held in the last weekend of June in Kumi, North East region.

The games will kick off on January 20th.

The winner of the competition gets a chance to represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup.
