Cape Town City has officially unveiled Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Kateregga on a two year-deal.
The club officially announced the news on their social pages on Tuesday morning.
"Welcome to Cape Town City Football Club Allan Kateregga! Kateregga gives us some more ammo in attack, while also bringing a wealth of experience in Africa ahead of our opening CAF Confed Cup campaign," the tweet read.
Kateregga has joined the Premier Soccer League club after a short stint at KCCA FC, where he was on loan from AFC Leopards.
Cape Town City chairman John Comitis revealed that the team was in dire need of a left-footed playmaker and after discussions with the head coach Benni McCarthy, they settled on the dread locked Ugandan.
"I sat with Benni and we discussed the need for a left-footed playmaker & winger that could add something unique going forward. There were a few options for us in the market, but once Benni saw Kateregga play he basically just simply said 'this is the one'," Comitis was said.
Cape Town City is currently second on the Premier Soccer League table with 30 points from 18 matches.
