Busoga province will host the opening ceremony when they play Bugisu on Saturday 24th February.
The organizing committee will determine, on Monday, which of the venues submitted by the hosts to be used for the ceremony and first match.
A member of the Busoga province committee confirmed to this website that the match will be hosted at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe though the FUFA organizing committee is expected to make a final assessment on the venue.

"We want to hold a memorable opening day ceremony for a young tournament. We are set and looking forward to the kick off as all the 16 provinces will be involved on the opening weekend of action," said FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein.
All the other fourteen provinces will be in action on Sunday in different venues. Teso will play host to their eastern neighbours Sebei as Acholi travel to Lango Sports ground.
The tournament will climax on Saturday 6th October in Kasese. FUFA has set Ushs. 100M for the champions of the inaugural season.
