Jogoos seek to extend advantage in Arua

With champions KCCA and third placed Vipers not in action this weekend, SC Villa Jogoo are under no threat of losing their top spot in the Ugandan Premier League standings.

They could go four points clear when the travel to Arua to take on Onduparaka at Green Light Stadium from 4pm.

It will however not be an easy outing for the league leaders as Onduparaka have set a great home record this season, like in the past years but Jogoos have had a good season and will give the prospect of beating their hosts a shot.

The away side will miss skipper Bernard Muwanga, who is suspended.

Ondu lost to fourth placed Jinja SS in their last encounter and will be hoping their home form leads them to bounce back.

Police FC will be facing off with bottom placed Express FC in another game, which will be staged at the Mandela Stadium in Namboole. Police are winless in seven and will be seeking to seal a double over Exporess after a 1 – 0 win in Wankulukuku.

Winless in the last seven, Police, just as Express who are staring at relegation, are under pressure.

In the third game of the day, Soana will be hoping for a first win of the second round when they take on four – time champions URA at the Kavumba Recreation Ground in a game that will also be live on Azam TV.

Soana have not won in their last four matches and will be hoping to get one over Paul Nkata’s side who come to the game straight from beating Police 2 – 0.
