Manchester United is looking to improve their defense in the summer in preparation for the 2018/19 season, and Matteo Darmian is set to be part of the back-four overhaul.
The Italy international who arrived in Old Trafford in 2015 is reportedly set to be involved in a swap deal with Juventus’ Alex Sandro. The Sunday Mirror is reporting that a player-plus-cash deal may be on the cards for the United man who has made only 18 appearances this term for club and country, in all competitions.
Sandro has been a target of current England champions Chelsea, but a deal failed to materialize last summer. The 27-year-old Brazilian has also played for Porto.
The current United left backs are Ashley Young and Luke Shaw, but Mourinho seems to be unsatisfied with the duo which he keeps rotating between cup and league games.
