Arsenal lost the right game, if you know what I mean
Arsenal lost to Borussia Dortmund.

Surprising? Not at all... Any level headed Arsenal fan will tell you.

The good start to the season aside, the truth is that apart from Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli, the Gunners had not faced a side you would consider championship winning or beating.

Borrusia Dortmund were the first real test the Arsenal were facing this season, no disrespect to others.

And they showed where Arsenal are as an entity.

What was clear yesterday was that Arsenal have a very capable side and will push any team out there to the finish line.

But they have not the mentality to beat the best sides.

Arsenal played with the handbrakes on and suffered in the end because they offered Dortmund too much respect. They were afraid and at times lost on how to approach the game.

The whole of the first half they struggled to get going and for a team that played with the kind of precision they showed against Norwich City three days earlier, it was shocking how badly they faded.

Arsenal are suffering from big game phobia.

Their season in the Premier League and FA Cup will be determined by the way they approach the big games. If they approach them with the kind of care, respect, fear and pragmatism they showed against the Germans, they will be in trouble.

That aside, they lost a good game because let's be honest; they will not be winning the Champions League this season.
